![]() When the first fight started so early in the move I really struggled to wrap my head around how they would end that in a logical way. The silence where everyone collectively thought “how the fuck could he do that to his own son.” But he’s throwing in the towel and possibly saving his sons life, even though he knows what losing means. You could feel the tension in my theatre. there’s a second or two when his father gets up and it looks like he’s walking away. And when the tide does turn in the ultimate fight, and his mother and the Russians abandon him. Then he rightfully calls out his father for dining with the people who abandoned him. So he raised his son to win all that back. His wife, his country, his career, his honor. ![]() ![]() I think my favorite part about this movie is the Victor Drago plot line.
